Dear
Subscriber,
As
Red Skelton, the comedian, use to say, "I done dewed (do) it !"
In our
case, it was to be the 1st model
contest at our current store location. I was rather uncertain about the
potential turnout, but as the day of the contest progressed my uncertainty turned to
complete surprise and a sense of awe.
Thirty-four
contest entrants, of various skill levels, submitted 131 models in a wide
variety of types and scales. Entries included models in both
the Junior and Adult class, in both the individual model and diorama category.
Judges selected 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each of these categories as
well as "Best In Show".

page.

entries!"
